Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to paste API keys, tokens or private code into these tools?

Yes. Every developer tool here runs in JavaScript inside your browser tab. Input is processed on your device and isn't sent to PanDev or a third party. A few tools load an open-source library from a CDN on first use, such as the QR code library, but your data is never part of that request.

Do the developer tools work offline?

Most tools keep working without a connection once the page has loaded, because they rely on built-in browser features like JSON parsing, Web Crypto and BigInt. The QR code generator and scanner may need to download a small library the first time you use them.

Are the tools free with no limits?

Yes. All developer tools are free, need no account and have no daily caps or rate limits, since the work happens on your own device. For very large inputs, speed depends on your computer and browser rather than on a server queue.
