Free text tools

Count words, change case, compare two versions, clean up lists and turn text into speech with these free text tools. Every tool runs in your browser, so the text you paste is processed on your device and never stored on a server. There is no sign-up and no usage limit.

11 tools. All of them run on your device, and nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is the text I paste stored anywhere?

No. The text tools run in your browser and process text on your device. Nothing is uploaded or saved, and closing or refreshing the tab clears it. The one exception to know about is speech to text, where some browsers such as Chrome send audio to their own speech service for recognition.

Do these text tools work on phones?

Yes. They work in mobile Safari, Chrome and other modern browsers. Text to speech uses your phone's built-in voices, and speech to text works on Android and iPhone, though not in Firefox, which does not support speech recognition yet.

Is there a limit on how much text I can use?

There is no fixed limit. Because processing happens on your device, tens of thousands of words are handled quickly on a typical computer. Very large inputs may slow down older phones, and the diff checker caps its output at 6,000 rows to stay responsive.
