What you can do with Merge PDF

Unlimited files
Combine as many PDF files as your device can hold in memory. There is no file count cap and no daily limit.
Drag-and-drop ordering
Reorder files with a drag handle that works with a mouse or a finger. Files are joined from top to bottom.
Natural name sorting
Sort by name puts scan-2.pdf before scan-10.pdf, which is handy for numbered scans and chapter files.
Page count per file
Each file shows its page count and size, and the header shows the total, so you know what the merged PDF will contain.
Original quality kept
Pages are copied as they are, not re-rendered, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.

How merging keeps your PDF quality intact

When you combine PDF files here, the tool copies each page object from the source documents into a new PDF using the pdf-lib library. Nothing is converted to images, so text, vector graphics and fonts come through exactly as they were. The merged file is often close to the sum of the input sizes, and sometimes slightly smaller because it is saved with compressed object streams. Document-level extras such as bookmarks (the outline panel) are not carried over, since they belong to each source file rather than to its pages.

A few tips make merging smoother. Name scanned pages with numbers before you start, then use Sort by name to put them in order in one click. If one of the files is password-protected, unlock it first; encrypted files trigger a warning because their pages can come out blank. If the merged PDF is too large to email, run it through Compress PDF afterward, and use Organize Pages if you need to delete or move individual pages rather than whole files.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs here?

Yes. The files never leave your device. The page loads a PDF library into your browser, reads your PDFs from disk, joins them in memory and hands the result back as a download. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and merging still works.

How many PDFs can I combine at once?

There is no fixed limit. You need at least two files, and the practical ceiling is your device's memory. Desktop browsers handle hundreds of pages comfortably. On a phone, very large merges of several hundred megabytes may be slow or fail.

Can I change the page order after merging?

This tool orders whole files, not individual pages. To move, rotate or delete single pages, open the merged PDF in Organize Pages, rearrange the thumbnails and save again. Both tools keep the original page quality.

Will the merged PDF keep links and bookmarks?

Page content, including text, images and most links drawn on the page, is preserved. The bookmark outline from the original files is not copied into the merged document, so you would need to recreate bookmarks in a desktop PDF editor if you rely on them.

Can I merge PDF files on iPhone or Android?

Yes. Open the page in Safari or Chrome, tap the drop box to pick files from Files or Google Drive, and use the grip handle to drag them into order. The merged PDF downloads to your phone's downloads folder.
